hope

May 22, 2016

Need a sign of hope
Rain clouds on the horizon
Need to feel the sun.

Choose to be hopeful
Doctors doing all they can
Picture going home.

Day 7

May 20, 2016

Surgery: May 13

Go home: May 14

Return to hospital: May 19

Day 7 since surgery:

The world keeps turning,
Days melt into other days,
Pain meds kicking in.

Had to return home,

every fiber of my being

wanted to remain.

Get some sleep, my love,

This never-ending nightmare

will soon go away.
